Multiwal provides a unique piece of engineering in Rotterdam Ahoy

Who doesn’t know Ahoy? Rotterdam Ahoy is enormous. The new roof construction of the Rotterdam Ahoy complex is characterized by extremely wide cantilevered spans. Extremely strong and at the same time flexible, the entire roof can move up and down by 70 mm during extreme weather conditions such as snow and wind.

To guarantee the functioning of the installed panel walls with this extreme movement, Multiwal produced special elements equipped with gas springs so that the elements can move along with the movements of the roof. In combination with the ease of use of Multi Electric, the panel walls are simple and always trouble-free to operate. Rotterdam Ahoy can thus create multiple large and even extremely large spaces for its activities. We are very proud that with this great assignment, we have delivered such a unique piece of custom work to Ahoy.
